Learn MoreThe flag bearers of bengal's legacy
Far away from Bengal a dream for Bengalis saw the light of the day in 1958 when the erstwhile Chief minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy laid the foundation of Bengal Association - The flag bearers of Bengal's rich legacy, with an objective to connect Bengalis outside Bengal... to be connected to its socio-cultural roots.
He also visualized a dream for a widespread awareness and love for Bangla outside Bengal. A dream with such a huge motive can not fade away with one person.. the legacy continued and still continues.
Eminent personalities like Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Dr. Triguna Sen, Prof. Debiprasad Chattopadhyay, Prof. Humayun Kabir, Shri Somnath, Chatterjee and many more added to this noble thought.

Our work, initiatives & ventures
our future aspirations
In the years ahead, the Bengal Association, in line with the vision of its founder, leaders and initiatives of its affiliates, members, office bearers and well-wishers will always put in its best offerts for mightier accolades. With greatness of the land we belong to and the strength of our Motherland, each one of us feel the responsibility and the privilege of being the flag bearers of Bengal's legacy.
A dream of Bengal Association is to create its own museum focusing Bengal's Art, and Culture to showcase to the world what Bengal is comprised of. We at Bengal Asssociation want to exhibit Bengal's Rural Art to facilitate the artisans of Bengal to get better exposure. We want our kids studying in English medium schools to be able to read Bangali laguage and to know the literary treasure of Bengal. We also want to help our seniors in every possible way to connect with new smart world.
Possibilities are numerous and we all are dreaming as The Former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam stated,
"You have to dream before your dreams can come true!"
Bengal Association has dreamt and is now working on realizing it. No dream like this can be achieved with a singular effort but together we definitely can make progress.
"Bengal is one of the most culturally rich and prestigious states in our country. We, at Bengal Association - Delhi, for the last seven decades, have been dedicated to spreading the culture and heritage of Bengal in Delhi and NCR. We are consistently making progress with the sole objective in mind, to build a Bengal outside Bengal by preserving and promoting its rich culture, tradition, and most importantly the Bengali language out of Bengal.
I request all of you to join hands with us in this pious initiative and resolve to continue the triumph of Bengali culture in times to come.
Shubhayu bhavatu!"
