This year the ShriGanesh of Durugotsav2025 was done with a truly humanistic endeavor, the Basic Life Support workshop. This was aimed at empowering citizens with the skill to revive cardiac arrest victims during the innitial & crucial 5 minutes.
The workshop was a joint venture of Bengal Association and Max Institute of Medical Education, hosted by BWCA. The event was supported by Ms. Munesh Dheda, Councillor, MCD. Over 100 citizens, who had the zeal and intent of being a Saviour, attended the workshop. The attendees were from all communities and even from Mayur Vihar and NOIDA. Ms. Munesh Dheda not only supported the event, but also got trained in CPR techniques.
The trainers from the Max Institute of Medical Education were brilliant in execution. The training was very structured with some theoretical lecture on cardiac arrest followed by hands-on training of CPR on ten mannequins. The use of Automated External Defibrillator was also explained.
The Bengal Association team led by Sourangshu Rahul, Mrinal and BWCA team led by Prasun, Partha Ganguly, Biswajit Bannerjee, Debashish Gupta, Deepta, Nahada, Nachiketa, ensured flawless logistics.
